Existing microcredit literature lacks studies analyzing impact of microcredit programs on the economic condition of participants. Using conventional program evaluation techniques on the impact of microcredit programs, this study attempts to fill this void. Measures of program impact can be biased due to the presence of unobserved hetereogeneity in the sample. Using suitable instrument, we remedy this problem and find significant positive impact of microcredit programs on program participants.
